Growing Community

At Fairweather we believe in the potential of Bradford and the people in it. We have been engaging with the community in an attempt to improve living standards for everybody in the area and reach more people to create a more inclusive experience of life for all.

A part of this initiative has been our community clean-ups, in collaboration with NCS Challenge. We take to the streets and clear up, pick litter and engage with local people as we do so. We received brilliant support from the community whilst doing this, with local authorities backing the project and being present on the day.

We hope to continue with our community clean-ups, with even more engagement from the community! This kind of project will go hand in hand with schemes that we currently have in development, which we are in the process of securing funding for. Our new works will focus on issues such as enhancing social inclusion, preventing loneliness and building a more integrated community for all that live in it.

All Fairweather schemes have a collaborative approach, so we would love to hear from you if you would like to contribute!

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED WTIH FAIRWEATHER ?

We currently have a number of new schemes in the works and to establish them we require volunteers with different skill sets and to take part in varying capacities.

Please find further details on the Volunteering page.

Community Group

We are appealing to our surrounding community to participate in group meetings with us on a regular basis. We are in the process of developing projects with the community at the centre of them, so it is imperative that we have community inclusion in the set up process, as the services will be specifically tailored to meet the needs of local people.

We are focusing on social inclusion, celebrating diversity and creating a supportive network for all our of community. So it is essential to us that a diverse range of people are involved in the discussion of what services would be beneficial.
