Volunteer Drive -
The Biggest Ever Campaign By Fairweather
11th May 2007
Today sees the launch of Fairweather's biggest ever campaign to
raise awareness of the organisation and at the same time recruit
more volunteers to assist the charity move forward with its goal of
development as it approaches it's 25th year as a charity.
From humble beginnings, Fairweather has grown as a charity to
develop quality and recognisable schemes for women and children.
As the charity faces it's biggest ever struggle to survive against
provider funding cuts, Fairweather fights back with a plan to
develop new services and business ideas, driven by it's strapline of
equality, empowerment and enterprise.
Launched today is Fairweather's new volunteers pack which includes
information on volunteer opportunities in business development,
management committee membership, fundraising and working with women
and children.
The pack includes a DVD video, information leaflets, application
form and other relevant information
Fairweather is keen to embrace a challenge and whilst it should be
said that volunteers will never be used to replace paid-staff, there
is a place for volunteers to work alongside paid staff to drive the
business to its goal of provision of more services for women and
children and those with special needs such as mental health issues.
