Rowan House provides safe, secure, supported accommodation to 10 women with or without children. The scheme has 5 family rooms and 4 single rooms. The house also offers a large lounge and a recently refurbished and well equipped kitchen. Other facilities include bath and shower rooms and a communal laundry. There is a level access unit, which is suitable for women or children with mobility problems.
Safety and Security
The scheme has a confidential address in order to promote a safe living environment for women and children who may be at risk. Additional safety features include 24 hour staff cover as well as internal / external CCTV.
Rowan House Staff Team consists of
A Team Leader, 4 Support Workers, 3 Night Support Workers, Resettlement Worker and a Child Support Worker. In addition we have an overnight Security Guard.
Support Services
A key-worker is assigned to each resident in order to offer practical and emotional support. During their stay, women will be helped to develop skills and the confidence needed for moving on into independent accommodation. The staff team are committed to delivering support services in conjunction with other relevant agencies.

Resettlement Services
Assistance is given to residents to find suitable and appropriate move-on accommodation. Residents are offered help in completing housing application forms, liaison with housing providers, visits to prospective tenancies and with applications for furniture grants.
In conjunction with the support team and other agencies, the Resettlement Worker will provide support, advice and practical assistance tailored to the individual woman’s needs and the needs of her children.
